Each month we hold a Meetup event in the Encinitas/Carlsbad area for people interested in learning more about publishing eBooks. We usually focus on Amazon’s Kindle but we also discuss the Barnes & Noble Nook Pubit system and other eBook formats and stores.
The first portion of the meeting is open to questions and discussion of publishing basics such as document formatting. Some of us that have tried to publish on KDP have had difficulty formatting the eBook so that it looks and performs correctly. Bring your laptop and manuscript and we can usually solve your problem during the meeting.
The second part of the meeting is eBook marketing. What’s working? What have people tried? Pricing, alternative distribution, press releases, blogging and social media tools are all topics.
